okay gang…..welcome to another edition of CORKY BLOGS.  tonight we’re doing what I’m sure is the world’s only live blog following max scherzer’s first start.  corky is actually a phillies fan, and wishes that this phenom was on the phillies staff.  but he’s not.

we’ll get started in 10-15 minutes.  feel free to drop any comments you want and we’ll discuss them.  any topic.  corky’s going to drop mud.  he’ll be right back.

corky wants to know if it is really possible that ryan howard is hitting .167????? that’s RETAHDED!!!! what up with that big cat?  we’re guessing the phil’s are a little glad right now they didn’t pay him $150 million in the offseason?

chris wheeler just said that scherzer has a huge head jerk.  takes a huge head jerk to know one, eh, wheels?

the flyin hawaiian ends scherzer’s no-hit bid on the first pitch.

nothing puts fear in an opposing team like a 1-2 punch of victorino and eric bruntlett.

scherzer’s first pitch to utley:  98 MPH!!!!!

scherzer follows that up with an 88 MPH CHANGE UP!!!! holy shit says corky.  holy shit!

ryan howard sac flies victorino in, spoiling scherzer’s shutout bid in the first inning….and throwing his induction into the hall of fame into doubt.

KBF’s ability to upload pictures is still stifled, so I’ve been forced to hold to text posts for now. Nothing will make your day faster then realizing that there truely are folks in this world who dove head first into the gene pool only to smash their head and find it was dead empty.

We bring you Charles Ray Fuller, the would be Playa O’ Da Year. Seems Mr Fuller, in his infinite wisdom, had a grand scheme to find the seed money for his new Hip Hop record company. He simply grabbed a check out of his girlfriends baby mommas checkbook and forged himself a little bread. Problem is she would’ve been a little short covering the 360 BILLION dollars he wrote the check out for, then tried to cash.

We suspect that had the teller simply given our friend Chuck the money, KFC franchises all over the state of Texas would’ve been packed for weeks.

game over!!! flyers win!!!! Biron is a God! lots of Habs opportunities in the last minute. whew!!!!

corky is happy for all the flyers fans who overpay for tickets they can’t afford!

only 1:23 left, puck in the habs zone. habs pull the goalie with less than one left…..

marty biron has been spectacular. no matter what happens, corky wants to make that clear.

if the habs are putting this kind of pressure down a man, what’s going to happen in the final minute thirty?????

don’t know what happened to my last post…which was about a wet smelly poop that corky just laid down….but in that time, the Habs acquired and squandered a PP and now the flyers are on the PP with just 3:36 left. if you can’t put a game away, up 1, three and a half left, on the PP, at home…..then you’re just a friggin donkey.

lez see what happens….

hatcher’s major is finally over and the flyers look gassed and disspirited. this would be a good time to inject an illegal substance as a pick me up….but that presents many logistical and ethical problems. so their simply going to have to try to gut it out. umberger is still missing in the dressing room.
